Frequently Asked Questions

Online Scammers (called Brokers) advertise on the internet.  They will make verbal promises (NOT legal) they cannot keep.  They offer you lower cost for moving services and IF a truck comes to move you, the price gets changed and you are stuck.  Hopefully you will see your things at destination.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK, Investigate the company you are considering hiring.  Check the Better Business Bureau, Diamond Certified, Yelp and other online rating services.  Stay with movers who are agents for large interstate van lines.

Licensed movers will visit your residence at no cost to you.  They abide by the rules and regulations by putting their estimate in writing.

Moving costs vary from shipment to shipment. A local move (within 50 miles) is done by the hour, over 50 miles WITHIN the State of California is regulated by the Public Utilities Commission and charged by weight & miles. Moves between States (INTERstate) is done by weight and miles. Only a licensed professional can legally estimate those charges with a visit to your residence.

During the busy summer months (May-September) give the mover as much lead time as possible to assure you get the moving dates you need. During the rest of the year, we can usually react with a week or two notice.
